Easy Snacks For Kids

Do you ever struggle with healthy snacks for your kids? The snack options at grocery stores can be overwhelming, not to mention, some can be pretty unhealthy #toomuchsugar! But I I am here to help!

I will say, we have been blessed to have two pretty good eaters. We rotate through many of the same meals for them, but they are always given some of what we have too. Our rule is that the boys must try at least one bite. I love this rule because they are discovering that there is a lot out there that they like. You don't know until you try! Also, I have never met two kids who love fruits and vegetables the way that these two do! The only caveat, they will only eat raw veggies - but we are working on that.

Anyway, back to snacks! My kiddos LOVE to snack..... especially before bed (insert eye roll here #masterstallers.) Quick, easy, and healthy is the name of the game!!! Here are some of the kiddos favorites.

  1. Applesauce pouches

  2. Go squeeze yogurt

  3. Pretzels

  4. Popcorn

  5. Hippeas

  6. Z bar protein bars

  7. Apples

  8. Pears

  9. Cheese sticks

  10. Beef Jerky]

  11. Goldfish

  12. Almonds

Most of these require little effort to prepare. I keep our applesauce pouches and yogurt in a bin in our bottom fridge that the boys have access to. This is also where we keep apples/pears/grapes (already washed and ready to eat) for easy grab and go options. String cheese is also easily accessible for the boys. As far as the pantry staples, the LPs are able to reach their protein bars and when they want something such as pretzels or popcorn, we pour a serving into a bowl for the boys and they are happy campers!

To be honest, Nick and I love these snacks too, so it is a win-win all around! What are your go-to snacks for your kiddos? Leave them below - I love getting new ideas!
